High-Frequency Academic Collocations

Reorder Paragraphs Cohesion Signals
- • Independent Sentence: Starts with full proper noun (e.g., "Albert Einstein published his relativity theory in 1915"). This is almost always the FIRST paragraph.
- • Pronoun Link: Paragraphs starting with "He", "They", or "These results" must follow the paragraph introducing the original noun.
- • Chronology Signs: Years, dates, and order words ("Initially...", "Subsequently...") determine chronological sequence.
